A range of new initiatives as part of the Federal Government’s $3 billion Building Australia’s Future Workforce skills and workforce participation package came into effect on the 1st of July.
The Government states the main objective of these new measures is to both protect jobs and maximise workforce productivity and capacity.
The major areas of focus included initiatives for people with a disability, new skills and training measures, initiatives for the very long-term unemployed, a new approach to tackle entrenched disadvantaged, and improved benefits for youth and school leavers.
