The Diploma of Business Administration provides managerial level training for clerical and administrative personnel. You will gain essential skills that will prepare you for a range of administrative careers, including office manager, senior executive assistant, personal assistant and administrator. The Diploma of Business Administration is designed to provide you with a planning and organisational perspective of administration.
Who Should Attend - Diploma of Business Administration
This training is suited across all industry sectors such as sales/trade/manufacturing/services/retail/admin and more. It is for those who are currently Accounts Supervisors, Executive Personal Assistants, Office Administrators, Project Assistants, Receptionists, Office Managers and those who aspire to be so.
Business Administration Course Structure
Upskilled Business Administration programs are delivered by expert trainers over 7 full one day workshops scheduled during a nine month period. Over the course of the nine months, students are provided with sufficient study breaks to cover the out of class assessment and assignment work required. During the seven day training sessions, participants are involved in active discussion, networking, problem solving, and presentations related to building skills and experience required to lead and manage staff.
Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for individual units of competency
Pathways to the Qualification
Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:
- after achieving the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant qualification/s
OR
- providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant qualification/s
OR
- extensive vocational experience in a range of environments in senior support roles.
Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:
- Administration Officer
- Accounts Supervisor
- Executive Personal Assistant
- Office Administrator
- Project Assistant.
This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Many individuals may already be competent in one or more of the Business Administration competencies. RPL is available for each Unit of Competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training or other expertise. Recognition will involve your submission of evidence in a portfolio form to be assessed by Upskilled’s assessors.
Assessment
Assessment is through participation in the 7 structured workshops as well as carrying out some workplace projects.

Upskilled Business Administration courses include detailed learning materials, assessments and certification on successful completion. Morning and afternoon tea are also included in the course

Funding and Investment Considerations
Upskilled's Diploma of Business Administration has a course fee of $3890.
Upskilled has 2 payment options:
- A single upfront payment of the course fees will attract a 10% discount. Total upfront fee is therefore $3500.
- An enrolment fee of $495 upfront, and 7 x $485 paid per month for seven consecutive months. Total course fee is therefore $3890.
Federal Government incentive of up to $4000 for traineeships are available to employers for students undertaking the Diploma of Business Administration. Refer to our Government Funding page for more information and to check the eligibility criteria.
Yes, you've read correctly, you as an employer sending your employee/s on Upskilled's Business Administration course will only pay a maximum of $3890, however, upon course completion, you will have received $4000 from the government which may be used to contribute toward training or other associated costs for each eligible employee.
