Diploma of Management - (BSB51107)

The BSB51107 - Diploma of Management  is a qualification which provides the core leadership competencies required by contemporary managers. It is particularly appropriate for those with operational or technical backgrounds who now find they are managing others. It can also be an excellent induction module for newly promoted staff, as well as a valuable resource for the more experienced manager.
Blending theory with practice; this program focuses on workplace learning to ensure its relevance to your particular situation and business.

Who Should Attend - Diploma of Management

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have senior or managerial responsibilities. They may oversee the work of others or have specialised roles where they do not supervise others but provide strategic leadership.

Diploma of Management Course Structure

Upskilleds' Diploma of Management programs are delivered by expert trainers over 7 full one day workshops scheduled during a nine month period. Over the course of the nine months, students are provided with sufficient study breaks to cover the out of class assessment and assignment work required. During the seven day training sessions, participants are involved in active discussion, networking, problem solving, and presentations related to building skills and experience required to lead and manage staff.


Prerequisites

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.

Pathways to the Qualification

  1. After achieving the BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management or other relevant qualification/s OR
  2. Providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management or other relevant qualification/s OR
  3. With vocational experience but without formal supervision or management qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Many individuals may already be competent in one or more of the Diploma of Management (BSB51107) competencies. RPL is available for each Unit of Competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training or other expertise. Recognition will involve your submission of evidence in a portfolio form to be assessed by Upskilled’s assessors.

Assessment

Assessment is through participation in the 7 structured workshops as well as carrying out some workplace projects.

Inclusions

Upskilled Diploma of Management courses include detailed learning materials, assessments and certification on successful completion. Morning tea and lunch are also included in the course.

The seven workshops will address the following 8 units of Competence from the National Business Services Training Package. All of these competencies must be successfully completed to gain the Diploma of Management

  8. BSBCUS501B Manage quality customer service

Funding and Investment Considerations

Upskilled's Diploma of Management has a course fee of $3890.

Upskilled has 2 payment options:

  1. A single upfront payment of the course fees will attract a 10% discount. Total upfront fee is therefore $3500.
  2. An enrolment fee of $495 upfront, and 7 x $485 paid per month for seven consecutive months. Total course fee is therefore $3890.

Federal Government funding of $4000 for traineeships is available to employers for for students undertaking the Diploma of Management for their employees. Refer to our Government Funding page for more information and to check the eligibility criteria.

Yes, you've read correctly, you as an employer sending your employee/s on Upskilled's Diploma of Management course will only pay a maximum of $3890, however, upon course completion, you will have received $4000 from the government which may be used to contribute toward training or other associated costs for each eligible employee.
