Unit Outline
The Certificate IV in Business comprises 10 units of competency as identified in the National Business Services Training Package. All units must be successfully completed to attain the certificate.
Upskilled arranges units of competency around a series of learning clusters in order to consolidate and customise the overall learning experience. Participants target skills and knowledge across 6 clusters (5 core, 1 elective) as tabulated below.

Addresses the skills and knowledge required to manage self-performance and professional development. Particular emphasis is given to setting and meeting priorities, analysing information, and using a range of strategies to develop further competence

Workplace safety and risk
Addresses the skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor an organisation's Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and programs to meet legislative requirements. Also, the identification of risks and application of established risk management processes as an aspect of work responsibilities.

Customer Service
Addresses skills and knowledge around customer relationship management, aspects of which include assisting customers to articulate needs, meeting customer needs, and managing networks to ensure customer needs are addressed. The evaluation, implementation, and development of customer service strategies is also a key focus of this module.
