This Bachelor focuses on Event Management in a business context and provides you with the skills and knowledge to develop creative and innovative events from concept through to delivery and post event evaluation.
The course material covers core subjects such as events concepts and design, visitor economy, event policy and strategy, project management and an industry consulting project. Students are also exposed to an extensive array of electives, allowing you to really specialise within not only events but also marketing and the wider business realm. Brand and product management, tour operations and marketing strategy are some of the many electives that can be selected to compliment the major focus of the degree.
Unlike distance education or correspondence courses, the facilitated online cohort-based study model allows you to interact and network with other students, using a range of communication and collaboration tools such as discussion forums, message boards, blogs and wiki’s (editable web pages) and RSS feeds, to ensure you never feel isolated in your independent learning. This course is delivered over a duration of 2-4 years. You can choose from Full-time, part-time or accelerated delivery modes, putting you in total control of your completion date. Campus locations are available in Sydney and Brisbane.
Students undertake over 500 hours of practical work placement over the course of their degree, which means you graduate with not only a qualification but also invaluable professional experience - equipping you to be work ready.

International students require an IELTS 6.0 with no skills band less than 5.5. Applicants should have completed Senior High School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent or Mature age entry with relevant work experience.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

The Bachelor of Business (Events Management) consists of three levels of subjects, each with core units of competency and electives are chosen by students to complete each level.
