The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) will provide you with the skills and knowledge to to engage and influence your target customers, develop brand loyalty and implement cutting edge strategic marketing plans.
This Bachelor focuses on Marketing's role in the business world. The course material covers core subjects such as marketing fundamentals, understanding advertising, business accounting, business and law, creative thinking and innovation. Students are also exposed to an extensive array of electives, allowing you to really specialise within the marketing realm. Events, Public Relations and Crisis Management are some of the many electives that can be selected to compliment the major focus of the degree.
Unlike distance education or correspondence courses, the facilitated online cohort-based study model allows you to interact and network with other students, using a range of communication and collaboration tools such as discussion forums, message boards, blogs and wiki’s (editable web pages) and RSS feeds, to ensure you never feel isolated in your independent learning. This course is delivered over a duration of 2-4 years. You can choose from Full-time, part-time or accelerated delivery modes, putting you in total control of your completion date. Campus locations are available in Sydney and Brisbane.
Domestic students: ATAR 60 or equivalent OR Demonstrated ability to undertake study at this level through work experience, and/or other formal , informal or non-formal study attempted and/or completed
International students require an IELTS 6.0 with no skills band less than 5.5. Applicants should have completed Senior High School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent or Mature age entry with relevant work experience.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is available for each unit of competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training, or other expertise. To apply for RPL, please submit documentation for evaluation by assessors. More information can be found here for course credit and here for RPL.
The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) consists of three levels of subjects, each with core units of competency and electives are chosen by students to complete each level. The course consists of 21 core units of competency and 3 elective units, making a total of 24 units of competency needed to complete the course.
