This qualification will teach you to the base skills required to pursue a career in the accounting sector, with units addressing tasks such as managing a payroll system, preparing budgets, creating financial reports, and more. Qualified individuals will be able to find opportunities in entry level roles such as a bookkeeper, accounts receivable professional, or an accounts payable professional.
  • Course structure

    The course is conducted over a 12 month period; within a self-paced online learning environment. Upskilled uses MyUpskilled to manage the delivery and assessment of your course. This means you can learn at your own pace.

  • Entry requirements

    There are no formal entry requirements however, to ensure participants are able to seamlessly access our online learning platform and video content, they will require access to a modern computer with high-speed internet. Participants will also need to possess basic computing skills, and may be required to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment before enrolment can be confirmed.

    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to modify and operate an integrated computerised accounting system. It applies to individuals who within their area of responsibility use specialised knowledge, information technology and coordination skills to establish and maintain an organisational system.
