Ensuring the inclusivity of a team or organisation is key to the outcomes of this qualification. You will learn how to shape diversity management, and how to lead personal and strategic transformation.   • Course structure

    The course is conducted over a 12 month period; within a self-paced online learning environment. Upskilled uses MyUpskilled to manage the delivery and assessment of your course. This means you can learn at your own pace.

  • Entry requirements

    Students will need access to a computer, and the internet, and have basic computing skills. A Language Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment may be required before enrolment can be confirmed.

    Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

    • Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise; OR
    • Have completed a Bachelor degree in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise; OR
    • Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

    Work experience or formal qualifications you have may count towards your course. If you have previously undertaken study at a recognised institution or have some relevant work experience, you might gain credit towards specific units in a course; shortening the time you have to study.   • Assessment
    Upskilled takes evidence gathered from a variety of sources to deem a student as competent. Assessment processes might include some or all of the following:
    • Recognition of Prior Learning and/or credit transfer
    • summative and formative assignments
    • written reports and/or portfolio assessments
    • scenarios and/or case studies
    • projects
    • written/oral questions
    • regular training and assessment contact will be maintained by Upskilled in conjunction with the participant and their employer (where applicable).     This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct high level strategic diversity workforce planning for an organisation. This includes developing objectives and strategies, implementing initiatives and monitoring and evaluating trends and processes. It focuses on making provision for inclusivity to ensure that training, employment and promotional opportunities are provided to all cohorts of the Australian population in an attempt to actively leverage diversity in the workplace. This unit also covers the research associated with labour markets, labour market programs and the requirement to match organisational needs with employee skills and knowledge. It applies to individuals who assess factors that may affect the supply of workers; align workforce objectives with business plans; and design strategies and succession plans to ensure a competent and appropriately diverse workforce is available to meet anticipated changes.

    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to plan, implement and review organisational diversity strategies and the quality of training and assessment products and services for its implementation. This unit focuses on valuing and actively leveraging diversity in the workplace. It applies to individuals who plan, design, implement, monitor and review diversity learning strategies at an organisational level.

    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to influence and shape the development of organisational culture, structures and processes to maximise the strategic advantages of a diverse workforce. It includes influencing organisational culture, providing strategic direction in diversity management and formulating strategic diversity priorities. It applies to individuals who use cognitive and creative skills to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge, in order to generate ideas and provide solutions to complex problems. They use communication skills to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and to transfer knowledge and ideas to others.

    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to analyse and improve personal leadership style and professional competence and to lead organisational transformation and learning for strategic outcomes.
