Work Experience History:

Peter has over 20 years of experience in management at a senior level, particularly in the Human Resource area. After a long career with Australia Post, Peter moved into a training and consulting role where he works with both small and large businesses from a wide range of sectors.

As a State HR manager with Australia Post, Peter had a strong focus on industrial relations, change and performance management. He worked closely with Operational Managers in the implementation of their business plans and change management programs.

Peter was also a director of a small family business in the food and hospitality sector and has a strong understanding of the demands on small business and the criteria for success.

Peter's strengths are his strong business focus and in ensuring his coaching and learning programs are practical and achieve a change in the thinking of those with whom he interacts.

Industry/Areas of Expertise:

In a career spanning 40+ years Peter worked for a large corporation in a variety of management roles, but mainly in the HR area. More recently he has been a consultant to small / medium enterprises and a Trainer / Assessor for Upskilled.

Peter has also worked as an Operational / Production Manager for short periods and has been a Company Director for both large and small organisations.

The HR disciplines are Peter’s main area of expertise, especially in the corporate arena, but his experience in working with and in a small business, means he is in a good position to assist owners and their managers in tackling the many challenges with which they are confronted.
