What do I need to know about my VMware IT Academy short course?

Congratulations on starting a VMware IT Academy IT certification short course! We’re excited that you took the big step to get Upskilled for a successful career in IT.
To help you get started we’ve put together a list of our most popular questions:
When will I gain access to the VMware IT Academy online learning platform?
The VMware IT Academy course invitation email will be sent to you within one (1) business day of purchase of your course.
This invitation email will have a personalised link to the VMware Academy learning platform, where you will be able to register for your course and get started straight away.
How do I log into the VMware IT Academy learning platform?
Look out for your course invitation email from info@itacademy.brightspace.com with the subject line “Welcome: Please redeem your VMWare subscription”.
- Click on your personalised link which will take you to the itacademy.vmware.com website.
- On the VMware site, select the blue button labelled REGISTER (if you already have a VMware IT Academy account, select LOG IN).
- Then enter your details to create your account and get started!
What if I can’t find my VMware IT Academy invitation email?
The following steps are a great way to troubleshoot finding your invitation email:
1. Give it a day
First, make sure it has been at least one (1) business day since you purchased your course. If it hasn’t, you might not have received your invitation email yet.
2. Re-check your inbox
Do search for an email from info@itacademy.brightspace.com with the subject line “Welcome: Please redeem your VMWare subscription”. Please make sure you’re using the same email address you enrolled with, and check your spam folders too. A search across “all mail” can help.
3. Give us a call
If all else fails and you still cannot locate your invitation email, give us a call so we can help sort out the issue.
How long do I have access to the VMware IT Academy learning platform?
You will have six (6) months unlimited access from the date of logging into the VMware IT Academy learning platform.
Please note: Upskilled cannot extend your time, so please ensure you register when you know you have the ability to complete all modules within the time-frame.
When will I receive my VMware IT Academy certification exam discount voucher?
If you are enrolled in an VMware IT Academy certification course through Upskilled, you will receive a discount voucher for 80% off your certification exam.
The voucher will be sent to you via email from VMware IT Academy once you have completed your certification course.
When and where can I sit my VMware IT Academy certification exam?
Once you successfully complete your VMware IT Academy certification course, you will be able to sit an external, proctored exam.
The exam is booked by yourself through Pearson VUE. More information on booking an exam with Pearson VUE can be found at https://home.pearsonvue.com/Test-takers.aspx.
Remember - Upskilled students receive a discount voucher for 80% off their VMware IT Academy certification exam. Please make sure you have received your exam discount voucher prior to booking.
