Protect Your Workplace: 1-Day Cyber Security Training
Training Overview
This 1-Day Cyber Awareness Workshop for general staff is instructor-led, featuring examples that demonstrate how cyber threats impact both staff and the company. It’s designed to motivate participants by linking threats to their work and personal life, building engagement through a clear understanding of how security protects everyone and the organisation.
Throughout the day, staff participate in activity-based sessions on social engineering and phishing, including a spot-the-phish challenge, scam-call role-plays, and a phishing simulation, to help them spot and resist scams (phishing remains the #1 cause of breaches worldwide). They build secure digital behaviour through guided activities on password hygiene, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), device safety and safe internet/email use, including a password-creation activity. Role-play and guided practice, then focus on detecting signs of incidents, reporting quickly and practising incident-reporting steps. The day closes with an interactive quiz/game to reinforce behaviours and key points, helping retention, confidence and clarity on the key lessons.

FAQs
This instructor-led, 1-day cyber security training for staff builds practical cyber awareness through stories, hands-on activities and simulations. The workshop focuses on why cyber awareness matters at work and at home, how to recognise phishing and social engineering, everyday secure digital behaviour (passwords, MFA, device safety, safe browsing), and how to detect red flags and report incidents quickly—ending with an interactive quiz to reinforce key takeaways.
Delivery is private and instructor-led, available in-person (onsite) or virtual instructor-led (live online). Both formats follow the same one-day agenda with interactive, activity-based learning: spot-the-phish challenges, role-plays, guided practice for incident reporting, and a closing quiz. Whether online or onsite, the emphasis is on practical, workplace-ready cyber security training for staff.
Yes—phishing awareness and social engineering are a core focus. Participants practise identifying suspicious emails, calls and messages through challenges, role-plays and a phishing simulation, building confidence to resist scams. The Detect, Report, Respond module then ensures staff know the signs of an incident and how to report quickly through the right channels, helping reduce risk and impact.
No technical background is required. The cyber awareness workshop uses plain-language explanations and everyday examples that link threats to both work and personal life. Activities focus on practical skills—creating stronger passwords, enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), safer internet/email use and basic device safety—so staff leave with habits they can apply immediately.
The workshop works well with small to mid-sized cohorts to maximise interaction (e.g., ~12–15 participants). For larger rollouts, we can schedule multiple sessions—virtual or onsite—to reach distributed teams efficiently while maintaining the hands-on nature of workplace cyber security training.
We can supply concise reference materials and optional refresher touch-points to reinforce secure digital behaviour over time. These support habit formation—strong passwords, MFA, safe browsing and rapid incident reporting—so your phishing awareness gains are sustained after the workshop.
Upon finishing the 1-day workshop, attendees receive an Upskilled certificate of completion. Many organisations use this as evidence of staff cyber security training for compliance, onboarding and audit trails, alongside quiz results that reinforce phishing awareness and secure digital behaviour.
