Business Faculty Student - Business Administration

Naziya Munaf previously worked as a beauty therapist but longed for a career change.

Prior to her course journey, she received compliments from her clients for her outstanding customer service and this sparked her interest in studying Business Administration with Upskilled. From here, it motivated her to change and work in the business industry.

In her latest Q&A, she shares more about her student experience, the skills she has gained from the course and the goals she hopes to achieve in the future.

What sparked your interest in studying Business Administration?

I was working as a beauty therapist and always received positive feedback from my clients about my customer service. It made me wonder why I didn’t take up studying to learn more about business administration. For a long time, I was thinking about changing career paths as I wanted a role where I dealt with customers, helping them with their problems. I believe that a career in business is not about wearing suits and being at the office, it’s learning how to deal with people in a professional way.

Could you tell us more about your current job. Has the course improved the way you work for future job roles in business admin?

This course has helped me learn more about myself and what I’m actually good at, which has improved my career. I was able to learn how to use different kinds of software applications for business and the more I used these, the more confident I got. Since doing this course, it has changed the way I work. I’ve introduced new ideas at the company I’m working for and have gotten to know the process of how to gain more customers as well. business administration concept

What skills have you gained or improved on since studying the diploma?

Studying the diploma was the best decision I’ve ever made. It has helped me change careers and I’ve gained knowledge on how to operate a business in general. It has made me confident in my abilities of customer service, learning how to use different software applications and being more involved in the business.

Tell us your experience with online learning. How did it help you?

When I started the course, I thought I had made the wrong decision of studying online but my trainer kept me on track and the Student Support team always checked in to see if I needed help. It made me realise that I was pressuring myself too much and lacked the confidence to study. Being a mum and working wasn’t easy but I was able to finish assignments around my schedule due to online studying being so flexible. women colleagues working together

What aspects of the course did you enjoy and why?

Undertaking a role play as part of my course was enjoyable because I was able to get my son involved. It made me realise I wouldn’t have gotten through my studies without the support I received from my family, trainer and Student Support team.

What short or long-term goals do you have planned for the future?

I want to be a well-recognised business woman one day. Doing this course has helped me learn a lot and change careers successfully. I feel proud of myself and feel that studying Business Administration was the best decision I’ve ever made.
