Course Delivery

This course is delivered through self-paced, online learning, featuring expert-led video lessons, hands-on labs, and a Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge to reinforce security techniques for IoT environments.

It evaluates your ability to apply security best practices, detect vulnerabilities, and implement countermeasures to protect IoT systems.

  • Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 13 years old to attend the training or attempt the I|SE exam.

  • Candidates Under 13: Individuals younger than 13 are not eligible to participate in the training or exam unless they provide:

    • A written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
    • A supporting letter from a nationally accredited institution of higher learning.

These policies ensure that participants have the appropriate consent and institutional support to undertake the certification.


Passing Criteria:

In order to maintain the high integrity of our certification exams, EC-Council Exams are provided in multiple forms (i.e., different question banks). Each form is carefully analysed through beta testing with an appropriate sample group under the purview of a committee of subject matter experts that ensure that each of our exams not only have academic rigor but also have “real world” applicability. We also have a process to determine the difficulty rating of each question. The individual rating then contributes to an overall “Cut Score” for each exam form. To ensure each form has equal assessment standards, cut scores are set on a “per exam form” basis. Depending on which exam form is challenged, cut scores can range from 60% to 85%.
