My name is Tomomi Iwasaki, I live in Aspendale, Victoria at the moment and I completed the Marketing and Communication certificate in about 8 months (course duration is 12 months, see course page for details).

What’s the best thing about studying the course you did?

I really found that the contents of the course are very interesting and useful.

What do you know about the Marketing and Communication industry in Australia?

I discovered that there are many different jobs in the Marketing and Communication industry in Australia. I think most of these jobs in Australia are very similar to those in other countries. Therefore, I believe I can utilise the skills and knowledge of this industry in Australia in any other countries as well. That's my goal.

Tell us a bit about what you plan on doing with your qualification?

I want to use my qualification for a new career in the Marketing and Communication sector.

What’s studying online like?

I have to admit that I was a little worried about studying online because I'd never experienced it before. However, I actually really enjoyed it because I could study anywhere at any time. The flexibility was really essential to me.

What are your trainers like?

My Upskilled trainers were great, especially Pamela! She was great because she gave me many useful comments.

Tell us a little about your past career and study history.

I was really interested in tax in Japan; thus, I was working for Taxation Office in Tokyo, which was great. Then I moved to Australia. I completed Master of Commerce (Professional Accounting) at UQ and Juris Doctor at Bond Uni. I mainly worked for professional firms in Australia. Normally I was looking after Japanese clients, because I can speak Japanese as well. I love looking after Japanese clients.

Tell us something personal about yourself.

Something about me? I love traveling with my dog. When I'm talking about my learning, studying with Upskilled was great! I really enjoyed the course. Thank you very much!
