Travis Hackett has spent 28 years working in community services and teaches from that work rather than from a textbook. He is committed to supporting individuals and communities by helping them reach their goals through self-determination and effective support systems, the principle underlying most of what he teaches.
Travis’s broad and diverse industry expertise includes:
- Disability Services
- Community Services Provision and Management
- Youth Services with Ku-Ring-Gai Council
- Child Protection Casework with FaCS
- Harm Minimisation Programs with NSW Health
- Youth Justice Conferencing with Juvenile Justice NSW
- Dispute Resolution, including Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) services, registered with the Attorney-General's Department
- Counselling services, including individual and couples counselling, aimed at fostering resilience, emotional well-being, and conflict resolution
