Disability Support Worker

What qualifications do I need to be a disability support worker in Australia?

To become a qualified disability support worker, you'll ideally need a certificate-level qualification specialising in disability, mental health or community services. This can give you the skills needed to carry out the responsibilities of a support worker to those with a disability. Given the hands-on nature of this role, it's important to study a qualification that can best support your career in the disability support sector - one that explores both theory and practical concepts.

Upskilled has a certificate-level qualification in disability support and this course can teach you the skills and knowledge required to pursue entry-level roles in the sector. Since the course is delivered online, you'll have the ability to tend to your work and personal commitments while also building the skills you need to work in disability support. You'll also have the opportunity to undertake work placement so you can apply the skills you've learned into real-work scenarios.
