The team at Upskilled wishes to congratulate Brooke Scobie who was recently a finalist for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year in the Southern Sydney Region Training Awards.
Brooke has been employed in the career and transition field since she was 18. She completed her Diploma of Management with Upskilled as a traineeship with CBCC where she is now Senior Partnership Consultant and an important and talented member of the team, according to her employer.
Brooke’s training has provided her with excellent communication skills which she uses every day in managing community relationships and other partnerships. She provided advice and guidance to junior staff members, helping them upskill for their own career progression.
Gaining her Diploma has also given her the confidence to engage in higher tertiary studies and she has now enrolled in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Counselling) with the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
Brooke has also undertaken training in beauty with a focus on makeup artistry. She manages her own small business and has facilitated a partnership with a leading salon in Cambodia. She manages the development and application of advanced avant garde and special effects makeup looks, along with managing local makeup artists in the country’s leading hair, beauty and fashion show, the proceeds from which are donated to charity.
Congratulations on some great achievements!
