About the qualification

This bachelor's degree has been developed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the largest and fastest growing cloud computing platform providers in the world. The cloud computing sector is fast-growing, with employment being in high-demand across the Asia-Pacific region.

Students will explore cloud knowledge and cloud technologies in-depth and be readily equipped in handling a wide range of information systems and computer networks. Plus, those who study this program will get the opportunity to acquire key vendor certifications relevant to the IT industry.

Students undertaking this program will have the opportunity to explore key concepts in cloud technology and undertake vendor certifications that are related to the IT industry.

Plus, they will also develop the required skills and knowledge across information systems including web and software development, machine learning, databases and big data, enterprise cloud migration and cloud enterprise application development and computer networks.

Course structure

This bachelor's degree is conducted over a 3 year (full-time) or 6 year (part-time) period and is delivered online by Didasko. The course structure below is indicative and subject to change depending on how you tailor your course with specialisations, majors, minors and electives.

During the third year, students will also be undertaking industry projects in cloud technology, which all address a real-life or community problem. If students wish to exit early from the degree program, they will still graduate with a diploma qualification (after Year 1), or both a diploma and an associate degree (after Year 2).

^ Minimum timeframe for the bachelor's degree is 36 months and can vary according to absence, advanced standing status, studying full-time versus part-time, availability of subjects and your progress in the course.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Students who have studied at a tertiary level elsewhere or happen to have a qualification or work experience similar to this degree may qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)/Credit Transfer.

Upon enrolment, students will be able to discuss if their experience or previous studies qualifies for RPL/Credit Transfer, which can help them complete their studies earlier or reduce their study load.

The Bachelor of Applied Cloud Technology consists of core units and elective subjects. Students are required to complete 360 credit points to satisfy the requirements for the course. They also have the option to exit early, either to graduate with an associate degree (240 credit points) or diploma qualification (120 credit points).

Entry requirements

Monthly Intake (1st Monday of every month)
For admission to this study program, one of the following is required:
  • If you have completed Year 12 in the past 2 years, you will need a 50+ ATAR score with a Units 3 & 4 study score of at least 25 in English, or
  • An equivalent academic level achievement, or
  • At least one year of work experience, after leaving school
  • All students are required to undergo the online Pre-enrolment Assessment and achieve a pass mark of 60%.

Students undergo a pre-enrolment interview process to assess their suitability for the program. Upon enrolment, students need to provide supporting documentation such as Proof of ID, Proof of Citizenship, Academic/Work Documentation and Photo.

All study resources (content and assessments) will be provided as part of the course. You will need to supply the following:
